If I could give this chair 6 stars instead of 5, I would. I had previously owned an ikea chaise lounger in a similar color, and I'd been looking high and low for a nice orangey replacement that was actually well...comfortable to sit on as well as warmer. I was wary buying this because you never know until you actually SIT in it, and I was graciously surprised! I DO think it's comfortable, honestly. It's now...cushy. Like, if you're the kind of person who likes to really SINK into a couch, this is so not for you (most of this modern type furniture won't be though, for that matter!). But I like a FIRM surface because I also sit and draw on it, and I need the support. So...it's not HARD like my damn ikea lounger was (that was like sitting on a barely clothed board), but it has actual springs in it, so there is a bit of give, with still support in the middle. I'd call this a good WORKING chair. I've also read in it with my blankies all piled up, and I think it's comfortable, especially with the arms to lean my legs up against! And the mid height back is something I prefer to the higher back of my actual couch. The velvet is also a high quality, easy to clean (I have a dog, she sheds, it vacuums off well). Also, as others have pointed out, this chair is EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZY to put together. I have put together MANY a piece of furniture (old pro by now!), and this chair was well...it was DESIGNED. As a designer myself (but not a product designer...I just appreciate good product design when I see it), every bit of this chair was somebody's cherished project painstakingly thought out: from the way it came packaged with all it's small wiggly parts stashed under the main seats themself (I now have a secret storage place to hide my chocolate from my kids, hahahah!) to the way everything just literally SNAPS together. The arms themselves took a bit to snap in place (I was initially afraid of breaking them, but you put a little muscle (little enough anyone could do it) into wedging them into their slots, and they're fine!).My only small gripe? The color. I actually prefer the real-life color, but be aware that if you are getting the orange chair, it is more of a bright burnt orange rather than a bright pure orange. Kind of a terra cotta. It's lovely....I just don't think the picture is correct. But also, I use samsung devices and their screens have a tendency to hyper saturate oranges/reds, so I don't konw how much that's the product photo and how much of that is my screen. Just...be aware if you're getting the orange, that it isn't bright! It's beautiful (and honestly, I think the more burnt color looks better with my decor), but it's definitely not BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT like the pictures. Also, the legs seem more orangey gold then yellow gold. And the pillows that come with it? They're fine. They're made of the same fabric as the chair. But undoubtedly, you may want to get new inserts. The inserts are pretty crumb. But inserts this size are cheap, so it doesn't bug me, honestly. Also, if you're looking for a sleeper chair, and your over 5'7" like me, this wouldn't make a great guest sleeper bed. It's just too short. My heels JUST about dangle off the edge, which is fine, since I sit with my feet up, but I wouldn't recommend this if you plan on putting this somewhere for guests to sleep on unless they're 5'4" or shorter.Overall, LOVE this!
